About Us

Todd Moase is President and Owner/Operator of Peaceful Paws Pet Crematorium.  Born and raised on Prince Edward Island, Todd grew up in the funeral industry for his entire life as his parents ran a local funeral home in Kensington, PE.  In 2014, Todd purchased the Prince Edward Island Crematorium and as time went on he saw a growing need for a pet crematorium.  A pet retort was purchased and installed and pet cremation has become a huge part of his small business venue in Kensington.  Todd takes great pride in his business and strives to do his very best to serve grieving families as they navigate life after losing a beloved pet.

Gaylene Fitzpatrick is a proud Newfoundlander; she moved here in 2021 and is Todd’s partner.  She spent 23 years working in the dental industry in St. John’s, NL and has owned and loved pets since she was a very small child.  She was first a volunteer and then President of the Greyhound Adoption program for many years in Newfoundland and volunteered with other animal welfare groups as well.  She still very much loves animals, she and Todd own six cats of their own and Gaylene will pull out all the stops to help any animal in need.  Her passion for animals is evident at Peaceful Paws as she treats every animal as if it were her own.

Together with their love for animals, Todd and Gaylene make a great team and they truly understand your grief as they both have had to say goodbye to their own pets in the past.   They ensure that every animal is treated with dignity and respect, no less than they would provide for their own furry kids - Leroy, Molly, Eekee, Kika, Elvis, Dahlia and Nimbus.  They are honored to offer this service for you and will do their very best to help you through the sorrow of losing that treasured family member.
