Question:
Do I have to purchase cremation container for my pet’s cremation?
Do I have to purchase cremation container for my pet’s cremation?
Answer:
No, often family members will wrap their pet in a favorite blanket or some other personal article of meaning to the pet or family members. You can also provide a few personal items to be cremated with your pet. This may be a special toy, coat, picture, food, treats etc. All keepsakes will remain with your pet. To better respect our environment and reduce emissions, we ask that you not include items such as foam bedding, rubber or plastic.

Yes – most definitely. You may transfer your pet from your home or vet clinic. For some people, providing some of the care and making the final journey with their pet can be a therapeutic step in the grieving process. We also offer a complimentary pick up service from the Kensington and Summerside areas. If you choose to have Peaceful Paws collect your pet from their place of passing, they will be respectfully transported inside the vehicle with the crematorium staff member(s).

Question:
How long do I have to wait to get my pet’s remains returned after the cremation process?
How long do I have to wait to get my pet’s remains returned after the cremation process?
Answer:
We understand the grief associated with losing your pets. The time between saying that final farewell and bringing home their remains can seem endless. We pride ourselves on a 24 hour (or less if at all possible) turnaround time. We realize the form in which you will be bringing your pet home after the cremation isn’t the how we wish it could be, but we feel there is some kind of closure and comfort that comes with having them ‘home’ again. We will either set up a time for pick up before the cremation begins or a phone call the following morning to arrange a time that suits you and your crematorium staff.

Question:
How will my pet’s remains be returned to me?
How will my pet’s remains be returned to me?
Answer:
Your pet’s remains will be processed and placed inside a zip-tied plastic bag to prevent spillage. That bag will then be placed inside a flip-lid brown cardboard container with your pet’s name laser etched on the top of the box. Inside the box, in addition to your pet’s remains you will receive a 6” x 6” ceramic tile with your pet’s name on it in their memory, ink paw and nose prints and a fur clipping (if you wish to have those items included). There will also be an envelope with some paper work containing a Rainbow Bridge document with your pet’s age and/or birth and passing dates.
